THE WEDDING BALL – Major Ballroom renginys Vilniuje The Wedding Ball – tarptautinis Major Ballroom renginys, lapkričio 14 d. subursiantis Ballroom bendruomenę ir svečius iš Lietuvos bei užsienio į išskirtinę šventę Vilniuje. Ballroom – Niujorko LGBTQ+ bendruomenėse susiformavusi kultūra, jungianti madą, performansą, Vogue, muziką, saviraišką ir varžymąsi. Ball metu dalyviai pristato save skirtingose kategorijose – nuo Vogue Performance ir Runway iki Fashion, Face, Realness bei kitų – ir varžosi prieš teisėjų komisiją. Šįkart Ball turi ir labai asmeninę prasmę. The Wedding Ball gimė kaip partnerystės, queer meilės ir laisvės mylėti šventė. Lietuvoje tos pačios lyties poros vis dar negali susituokti, todėl šis vakaras mums yra ne tik šventė, bet ir būdas būti matomiems bei priminti, kad meilė nusipelno vienodos laisvės. Laukia tarptautiniai svečiai, Ballroom kategorijos, muzika, mada, performansai ir vakaras, kurį kursime kartu su bendruomene. Ballroom is a culture that took shape within LGBTQ+ communities in New York, bringing together fashion, performance, Vogue, music, self-expression and competition. At a Ball, participants walk different categories – from Vogue Performance and Runway to Fashion, Face, Realness and more – competing in front of a panel of judges. This Ball is also deeply personal. The Wedding Ball was created as a celebration of our partnership, queer love and the freedom to love. Same-sex couples still cannot legally marry in Lithuania, so this night is not only a celebration, but also our way of being visible and reminding everyone that love deserves equal freedom. Expect international guests, Ballroom categories, music, fashion, performances and a night created together with our community.
