2 METRAI: Deivis Norvilas and Rafailas Karpis announce their biggest adventure – an arena tour "The Funniest Christmas Show" After a successful tour across Lithuania, the project "2 METRAI" bid farewell to its program "The Funniest Concert of the Year" in a packed Palanga Concert Hall. However, the farewell is only temporary. Deividas Norvilas-Deivis and Rafailas Karpis are already preparing a new surprise for their audience and announcing their biggest career concerts – in December, a new program "The Funniest Christmas Show" will resound in the country's major concert halls and arenas, together with the Kaunas Big Band (chief conductor – Tomas Botyrius). The new program "The Funniest Christmas Show", presented in December and directed by Andrius Žiurauskas, will be much more than just a concert. Audiences can expect a spectacle combining elements of a concert, a play, a humor performance, and a show, featuring the Kaunas Big Band, LED visuals, impressive scenography, lighting solutions, specially composed music, and unexpected surprises. "Christmas is a time of miracles not only for the audience but also for us, the performers, so we will try to create a miracle on stage. We are preparing many interesting ideas that we hope will lift people into a true Christmas spirit," says Rafailas. "There will be a big band, there will be Christmas songs, there will be surprises. Undoubtedly, we will do everything as always – with a lot of laughter," adds Deivis. The organizers, Pepper Live, hint that audiences can expect not only new original songs but also unexpected interpretations of well-known works. One thing the team can promise now – no doves will fly in this show. However, the organizers do not take responsibility for any other unexpected surprises awaiting on stage. During the "The Funniest Concert of the Year" tour, which lasted more than half a year, the duo traveled across Lithuania, held several dozens of concerts, and, as they joke, got to know each other more intimately. "My favorite quality about Deivis is that he is the only colleague who doesn't block me on stage. The worst quality? He's very annoying – always picking on things for no reason, constantly finding something to complain about. Although, to be honest, I'm probably even more annoying than him," laughs Rafailas. Deivis also lists his stage partner's shortcomings with a smile. "Rafailas's worst quality is that during trips, he chooses exceptionally bad restaurants that the whole team has to go to. And a good quality is that once he realizes where he's led us, he pays for everyone," says the performer. It was precisely the duo's openness that became one of the success ingredients of the "2 METRAI" project. According to Rafailas, audiences like to see real people, not staged characters. "We are not afraid to express real feelings on stage – to argue or put each other in their place. If we are not the best duo in Lithuania, we are certainly one of the most sincere. We don't pretend," he says. During the tour, the duo became convinced that they complement each other perfectly not only on stage but also backstage. "We complement each other with food, usually non-caloric, because Rafailas takes care of not only his own figure but mine too," Deivis says seriously.
