Festivals in 2026
Vilnius is known for strong annual festivals. In January the city lights up with Vilnius Light Festival — one million visitors over 4 evenings. June brings Pink Soup Fest celebrating Lithuanian cold beetroot soup culture. September Capital City Days offer free concerts, parades, exhibitions. Free events
Vilnius offers more free events than expected. In summer — daily live concerts in Bernardine Garden (5–7 PM), exhibitions at Contemporary Art Centre, smaller festivals in Užupis. In winter — Christmas Market, NYE on Cathedral Square, outdoor carol concerts. Use the "free" filter to see only non-ticketed events.
