A Thriller of Sounds | Dominyka Šeibok and Emilija Rožukaitė

After long years of study and creative work in Europe and the USA, the duo of flautist Dominyka Šeibok and pianist Emilija Rožukaitė returns to their native stage. The performers invite you to an unusual session in which music takes on the traits of a taut psychological thriller. Drawing on virtuosic acoustic effects and profound sonic dramaturgy, the musicians will offer a new reading of works by the enigmatic César Franck, the colourful Osvaldas Balakauskas and the dramatic Frank Martin. For this evening, the stage will become a space of emotional transformations and shadows, drawing the listener into the winding labyrinths of the subconscious. *** This performance by Dominyka Šeibok and Emilija Rožukaitė at the Music Magic Club is part of the project „RE:TURN“. RE:TURN is a project of the Music Magic Club aimed at bringing into the cultural orbit of the city of Vilnius professional Lithuanian musicians who currently live abroad or have recently returned to Lithuania. These are musicians who often have significant achievements on the international scene and are well known in other countries, yet do not yet have enough opportunities to perform frequently in their homeland. This cycle seeks to create the conditions for them to take their rightful place among their colleagues in Lithuania’s musical life and to earn the recognition of Vilnius’s music lovers.
