ABOUT THE WORLD || A Puppet Show for the Little Ones (1–5 y.o.)
WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, WAKE UP, BEASTS AND BIRDS, WAKE UP, TREES AND SHRUBS, GROW, GRASSES AND FLOWERS, FRUITS AND BERRIES. WAKE UP, YOU PEOPLE TOO, IN YOUR SPIRIT AND HEARTS, WAKE UP, SO THAT YOU MAY GROW. (A. Ilgevičienė "Primordial Feasts") A performance that develops a child's visual, auditory and tactile senses, explaining the world as a place full of creativity, constant change and movement, governed by natural cycles, and the human being as a part of nature that holds the entire Universe within. The show is inspired by one of the oldest myths about the creation of the world. A giant duck sat on the water on the Moon. Having laid an egg, she prepared to hatch it. But feeling hungry, she flew off in search of food. Meanwhile, the rain came, dampened the nest, a hole formed in it, and the egg fell through. As it fell, it struck a cloud and split into three parts. From the yolk came the earth, from the white – the waters, from the shell – the sky with stars.
