On October 30th at the DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB stage – an exceptional solo concert by the French jazz pianist and composer Adrien Brandeis. In the „HANDMADE“ programme, the pianist will present his fifth album, recorded live at the prestigious Bechstein Hall concert venue in Manchester. It is an energetic and heartfelt musical journey reflecting the artist's colourful international path – from the legendary La Fenice opera house in Venice and the grand Teatro Juárez in Mexico to Blue Note jazz clubs in Shanghai and Beijing. Adrien Brandeis's original compositions blend jazz improvisation, the subtlety of classical music, the temperament of Latin rhythms and an infectious groove. His bright, inventive and expressive sound takes listeners through constantly shifting musical landscapes – from subtle, intimate moments to spirited rhythmic breakthroughs. Called „France's most Latin pianist“, Adrien Brandeis is a laureate of the prestigious LetterOne Rising Stars Jazz Award, named Best Young European Jazz Artist in 2018. He has also won first prize at Jazz à Juan, the audience award at Jazz à Porquerolles, and the „UNAC New Talent Jazz 2022“ award from the French national union of authors and composers. „HANDMADE“ is a virtuosic and vivid piano recital in which technical mastery becomes heartfelt emotion. The concert will appeal to jazz and classical music listeners alike, and to anyone seeking music that surprises, engages and stays in the memory for a long time.
