Alternative ŠMC Tour "Connections"

The exhibition "Superklijai, arba Sukurti draugą" asks how we can befriend what initially seems unfamiliar, strange, or difficult to understand. The "Connections" Tour invites you to view the artworks presented in the exhibition as an opportunity to get acquainted and forge new relationships. By encountering the artworks in various ways, we will collectively explore how cognition works and how connections are formed. By answering questions, completing small tasks, and engaging in the planning of the tour route, we will consider the similarities and differences in understanding artworks and people. The tour is based on active participation : visitors are invited not only to listen but also to engage in conversation, connect with the artworks, and with each other. You can purchase tickets here. Led by: Martynas Pekarskas Martynas Pekarskas is a young-generation Lithuanian artist whose work unfolds in the field of visual art. Using color, line, text, and objects, he explores themes of visuality, time, contemporary art discourses, human imagination, and the relationship with the external world. Pekarskas creates paintings, drawings, installations, and participates in various projects and exhibitions. At ŠMC, he works as an exhibition consultant and guide.
