The international concert series "Amerikos balsai" begins, inviting you to discover the traditions of US choral music and the diverse faces of American choral singing. The opening concert will take place on June 21st with the "Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix" from Arizona (USA). -- The "Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix" is the oldest actively performing choir in Arizona, celebrating its 97th creative season. Since its founding in 1929, the ensemble has united men of different professions and life experiences, bound by their love for choral music and a spirit of community. PROGRAM The concert program will bring together American musical traditions and gems of choral classics – from sacred music and African American spirituals to contemporary works, Broadway melodies, and legendary American songs.
