An Art Therapy Experience Inspired by Caravaggio

On August 16 at 13.00, the Radvila Palace Museum of Art invites adults to an art therapy experience inspired by a work by Caravaggio. Even if you've visited it before, this work by the baroque genius stirs up a host of different emotions, thoughts and personal associations every time. During this session you'll have the chance to share your experience and discover how, within a museum space, art can become a dialogue – with the artwork, with others, and with yourself. During the meeting we will view the Caravaggio work together, taking time to pause, listen and notice the feelings that arise. We will then carry this experience further into creative work. During the art therapy session, using colours, shapes and imagery, we will look for our own way to express what the encounter with the artwork awakened in us. In a closing reflection circle, we will share our thoughts, insights and personal discoveries. No drawing or art background is required – curiosity, openness and a willingness to experience are what matter most. The art therapy session is led by art therapists Remigija Gilė and Jūratė Bukauskienė. Advance registration is required HERE . Space is limited. Duration: 2 hours. Location: RRDM (Radvila Palace) south wing. Ticket price: Free once you've purchased a visitor's ticket

Adresas: Radvilų rūmų dailės muziejus
