Actor Andrius Kaniava will present the earthly comedy „The Third Gospel According to Andrius“. Audiences can look forward to an open conversation by the actor about ordinary and extraordinary people in extraordinary times. Wittily, philosophically, drawing on real stories and facts, Andrius Kaniava will invite audiences on a journey into the recent past, into a period that begins in the 90s and ends in the 2000s. For some this was the time of their teenage years and discoveries, for another generation it was a time of sudden change. After independence was restored, everything that appeared in society was new and unseen. Better, more beautiful, of higher quality, tastier. More fragrant. It was a time when traditions and home life were changing, streets were flooded with cars previously seen only in magazines, wardrobes filled with Western fashion, and satellite TV let you switch to any channel you wanted. Drawing on Andrius Užkalnis's irony and insights, as well as the music of that era, Andrius Kaniava won't let the audience get bored, and together they will dive into memories – WHERE we lived, WHAT we drove, WHERE and WHAT we ate, HOW we dressed, HOW we had fun. „In the first decade of independent Lithuania, we drank in everything uncritically and all at once. For it to be otherwise, we needed time and experience, and we had neither. This is our period of great learning, of unbroken roads and bruised knuckles. And it's our past, which now rests in a museum. The only thing from that era that hasn't yet made it into a museum is us.
