Baltic Film Days 2026
From August 24 to 27, Vilnius will host the 10th anniversary "Baltic Film Days," organized by the Lithuanian Film Centre. This year's program features exclusive classic films and the most prominent recent works, all connected by themes of maturity, the search for freedom, identity formation, and moral choice. Traditionally, the event is held in all three Baltic countries to commemorate the anniversary of the Baltic Way. In Lithuania, audiences are invited to free screenings of Latvian and Estonian films at the Martynas Mažvydas National Library of Lithuania. Program August 24, Monday: 6:00 PM "Is It Easy to Be Young?" (dir. Juris Podnieks / Latvia / 1986 / 1 hr 23 min) August 25, Tuesday: 6:00 PM "Frank" (dir. Tõnis Pill / Estonia / 2025 / 1 hr 49 min) August 26, Wednesday: 6:00 PM "Dead Mountaineer's Hotel" (dir. Grigori Kromanov / Estonia / 1979 / 1 hr 20 min) August 27, Thursday: 6:00 PM "Forever Young" (dir. Armands Začs / Latvia / 2025 / 1 hr 45 min) All films will be introduced by film critic Neringa Kažukauskaitė. Films will be screened with Lithuanian subtitles. Seating is limited.
