BOOK LAUNCH: „ČEPKELIAI. OBSERVATIONS, DATA, DISCOVERIES“

Autumn is just around the corner – the perfect time to think about a good read for the long evenings. To mark the occasion, we invite you to the launch of the new publication „Čepkeliai. Observations, Data, Discoveries“! This publication brings together the results of research carried out in the Čepkeliai Reserve between 1984 and 2025 – an opportunity to look at Čepkeliai from many different perspectives. As many as 28 specialists from various fields contributed to the book. From studies of wild bees, fungi, lichens, algae, rare plants, fish and birds, to authentic accounts from local people about berry-picking and haymaking on the bog. Come and meet the book's authors! This is a great opportunity to chat, hear more about the research and discoveries, and ask the questions you're curious about. The conversation will be moderated by Selemonas Paltanavičius. You'll also have the chance to buy the book at the event. We'll be waiting for you on September 9 , Wednesday, at 5:30 PM , at the National Visitor Centre, Antakalnio g. 25, Vilnius. We'll be serving cake, heather tea, and looking forward to a cosy get-together with you!
