Concert Commemorating the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of Lithuanian Jews | Vilnius Shalom Festival 2026

On September 23 at 6:00 PM , Vilnius Shalom Festival invites you to the Samuel Bak Museum for a special concert commemorating the Day of Remembrance of the Genocide of Lithuanian Jews . This moving and meaningful program will feature one of Lithuania's leading tenors, Rafailas Karpis , together with guest artist from Yerevan , Diana Harutyunyan , soprano and soloist of the Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet . The soloists will be accompanied by an intimate chamber ensemble. Performers: Rafailas Karpis – tenor Diana Harutyunyan – soprano (Armenia) Darius Mažintas – piano Dainius Peseckas – violin Marius Sakavičius – cello Lina Baublytė – flute Tadas Daujotas – shofars The concert program will feature the premiere of Ofer Ben-Amots' “Shtetl Song Suite”, songs composed in the Lithuanian ghettos, and works by John Williams, Baruch Berliner, Keren Peles, Max Janowski, and Giedrius Svilainis. Vilnius Shalom Festival is the third international festival of Jewish music and culture, held in Lithuanian capital Vilnius, a city often referred to as the Jerusalem of the North. From September 13 to October 7, enjoy a rich program of classical, jazz, and klezmer concerts, the Shofar March, and educational events.
