Concert Dedicated to the 70th Anniversary of Faustas Latėnas | Vilnius Shalom Festival 2026 This year marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of Faustas Latėnas , one of Lithuania's most distinguished composers and a recipient of the Lithuanian National Prize for Culture and Arts. On September 30 at 7:00 PM , the Vilnius Shalom Festival invites you to a special concert at Vilnius Town Hall , dedicated to honoring the memory of the maestro and his significant contribution to Lithuanian music and the cultural heritage of the Litvaks. The evening's program will feature some of Faustas Latėnas' finest chamber music works, revealing his distinctive musical language—deeply emotional, theatrical, and profoundly moving. The music will be performed by one of Lithuania's leading string ensembles, Mettis Quartet , together with Lithuanian pianist Vytis Šakūras , who is currently based in Germany. From September 13 to October 7, enjoy a rich program of classical, jazz, and klezmer concerts, the Shofar March, and educational events.
