Concert "I Spoke with the Moon" | Agota Zdanavičiūtė
A solo concert by singer and kanklės player Agota Zdanavičiūtė. Agota's original compositions will be performed, based on the fairy tales of herbalist Eugenija Šimkūnaitė, and the poetry of Stasė Lygutaitė-Bucevičienė and Vladas Braziūnas! Agota has released two solo albums. The first, inspired by the fairy tales of herbalist Eugenija Šimkūnaitė, transports listeners to the world of forests and woodlands – “Kur giria užėjo” (Where the Forest Came). The second, created based on the poetry of Vladas Braziūnas, is titled “Gyva čia” (Alive Here). The artist also composes songs based on Stasė Lygutaitė-Bucevičienė's poetry, and sometimes ventures into creative experiments – exploring the possibilities of kanklės playing, the sound of words, and creating her own poetic texts. The program “Kalbėjau su mėnuliu” (I Spoke with the Moon) intertwines the rustle of forests, poetry transformed into music, and bolder creative explorations. The concert will feature works from Agota's entire repertoire! Agota Zdanavičiūtė is a Lithuanian musician and creator, inspired by nature and the world of fairy tales. She creates her music using the sound of the kanklės and a warm, captivating voice – her performances include original compositions as well as Lithuanian and other nations' folk songs. Agota invites listeners to embark on a cozy, poetic world of sounds, and sees the kanklės not just as an instrument, but also as a way to build community – she organizes gatherings dedicated to them and participates in various musical projects, such as “Laiminguo”, “Sen Svaja”, “Crooked Mouth”, and “Deux Minutes Infinies”.
