Daddy Was A Milkman with Orchestra
Daddy Was A Milkman with orchestra: a spectacular open-air concert at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania The artist “Daddy Was A Milkman”, who recently celebrated a decade of creativity with a grand concert in Vilnius’ Kalnų Park, an acoustic tour along the seaside, and two consecutive sold-out shows in the capital in December, announces special news: this summer, on June 5th, he will perform under the open sky at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania in Vilnius. On stage, he will be joined by the “Sinfonietta Rīgā” orchestra, conducted by Jevaras Jasinskis. This is a unique opportunity to hear the most celebrated works of “Daddy Was A Milkman” in one of the most impressive venues in the capital. Tickets for the “Daddy Was A Milkman” concert are already on sale at all “Bilietai.lt” outlets and online: www.bilietai.lt “Every concert in Vilnius has its own special aura, and this one in an open, historically significant courtyard will be extraordinary. Performing with a live orchestra is one of the most beautiful experiences for me on stage. I’m really looking forward to the meeting and I promise a cosy, magical summer evening,” says Ignas Pociūnas. Over a decade since his debut, “Daddy Was A Milkman” quickly gained the favour of music lovers and critics alike. This is confirmed by sold-out concerts – from the 2016 debut album “Daydreaming” presentation to impressive performances at Trakai Castle and the country’s largest arena, “Žalgirio” arena. At the “M.A.M.A.” awards, the artist received the “Breakthrough of the Year” and “Electronics of the Year” statuettes. “Daddy Was A Milkman” is one of the rare Lithuanian artists to have found success abroad: his songs are played on international radio stations, and in Riga he has performed sold-out concerts at the “Palladium” club and “Arēna Rīgā”. His recent performances in Lithuania have also been sensations – tickets to concerts at the Klaipėda Drama Theatre and the Vilnius LVSO Concert Hall were sold out well before the events. This year, the artist presented a new album “Quite Something”, held a decade-anniversary concert at Kalnų Park, and embarked on an acoustic tour through Kaunas, Palanga and Nida. In December, Ignas Pociūnas sold out two consecutive evenings at St. Catherine’s Church in Vilnius. The “Daddy Was A Milkman” concert at the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Lithuania is presented by the largest concert organiser in the Baltic states, “Live Nation Lithuania”.
