Dance performance “RAW”

RAW. “RAW” is a performance seen up close. Just as an unprocessed photographic file preserves what was captured before the image is developed, corrected or retouched, this performance seeks to come close to the psychic reality of a human being - to what is still unnamed, uncontrolled and uncomfortably true. It is an attempt to capture psychic rawness, transitional states, inner tension and fragments of sentences that no one has yet tried to explain or tame. Using the Verbatim method and the principles of new choreography, the creators of “Physical ArtHouse” turn to the real stories of people living through psychological, existential and social crises. Fragments of conversations held during the creative process, preserved in their authentic form, tone and rhythm, became the starting point for the movement of the performance. “RAW” is a performance about the surface and what lies beneath it, about what we often fail to see. It resembles skin that has lost its protective layer - sensitive, vulnerable, reacting to every impulse. Sparing, at times trembling choreography, full of cracks, pauses and silence, creates an emotional landscape existing somewhere between the word and the unspoken. Here the body becomes an archive. It records fatigue, tension, vulnerability and everything that sometimes cannot be put into words. RAW is a document of a body caught in an uncomfortable state.
