• VERANDA – 20 years of good taste and jazz! • VERANDA is the bohemian ambassador of Žvėrynas, where cuisine, wine, live jazz and relaxation meet in one space. Where a glass of wine is not an accessory, but almost another part of the instrument. Food brings people together here – around the table, around a long-forgotten story. Naturalness, freshness, culinary improvisation – we serve all of this every day. For 20 years now, in the green district of Žvėrynas, we have been welcoming everyone who misses jazz in their life or lives by its rhythm. JAZZ DUO Leonidas Mieldažis – piano Gintaras Remeikis – saxophone Leonidas Mieldažis graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music. He has played in various musical projects and bands: "Sufle", "Goldien Melodies", "Gėlių Vaikai", "Monkes Blues", "The Road Band". He has taken part in festivals of various styles and contributed to recording dozens of albums. With A. Fedotov's instrumental ensembles, he took part in recording vinyl records by Vygandas Telksnys, Benjaminas Gorbulskis and Algimantas Raudonikis. He began his solo career at piano bars in Italy. He has performed in Poland, in clubs in Warsaw. He currently teaches at Vilniaus Kolegija and the Vilnius Conservatory. Gintaras Remeikis is the long-standing concertmaster of the "Trimitas" State Wind Instrument Orchestra and a teacher at two art schools. Touring with the orchestra, he has travelled to almost every corner of the world! --- The Dainykla project is partly funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
