• VERANDA – 20 years of good taste and jazz! • VERANDA - the embassy of bohemian Žvėrynas, where cuisine, wine, live jazz and relaxation meet in one space. Where a glass of wine is not an accessory, but rather another part of the instrument. Food brings people together here – at the table, over a long-forgotten story. Naturalness, freshness, culinary improvisation – we serve all of this every day. For 20 years now, in leafy Žvėrynas, we have been welcoming everyone who longs for jazz in life or lives to the rhythm of jazz. HOME JAZZ BAND Mindaugas Bikauskas - guitar, vocals Marius Zaremba - clarinet Mindaugas Vadoklis - trumpet Denis Murašov - double bass “Home Jazz Band” - traditional jazz troublemakers since 2011. Like a time machine, they will take you to 1920s New Orleans or 1940s New York. They break the standards, discover works hidden in the chests of history and bring them back to new life. The listener not only plunges into a whirl of dance, but after the concert also takes away knowledge about New Orleans street marches, Vaudeville, ragtime, big band music, and European jazz. The jazz of “Home Jazz Band” is of every kind – authentic, and sometimes punk-rockish, gentle as silk, and sometimes rough and dirty. Most importantly, it is real. --- The Dainykla project is partly funded by the Vilnius City Municipality. For 21 years now we have been playing jazz with no entrance fee, but we are grateful for your support.
