Documentary Film Screening “Ainu: Indigenous People of Japan”
The film “Ainu – Indigenous People of Japan” (2019) by director Naomi Mizoguchi seeks to reveal the various efforts of contemporary Ainu people to reclaim and pass on their cultural identity. It tells the story of the daily lives of four elderly members of the Ainu community living in Biratori, on the island of Hokkaido.
