Domantas Razmus | SOLO
On the evening of October 29th, the DOWNTOWN PIANO LAB stage awaits a concert for those seeking new musical experiences and wanting to see up close how rhythm, electronics and image merge into one living organism. An exceptional solo performance by Domantas Razmus, combining sensor-based percussion, electronic music and real-time controlled visual projections. Every movement and strike the performer makes on stage not only creates sound but also changes the image on screen, so music and visuals are born at the same moment, becoming one unified audiovisual work. This is not an ordinary percussion concert. Traditional drum sounds are here joined by electronic tones, unexpected textures, improvisation and technology. Sensor instruments become a living interface between human and computer, and each composition is its own world of sounds, rhythms and images. The audience is invited not only to listen but also to watch how music instantly takes on visual form. Domantas Razmus is a drummer, percussionist and music creator. Over the past 10 years he has released more than 20 albums with various jazz, improvisational and contemporary music performers and ensembles, and in 2023 he debuted as a composer/multi-instrumentalist with the album “Riddims and Groves Vol.1”. In 2025 he released his second solo album titled “Scratching the Surface”, exploring themes of improvisational, electronic and world music through innovative electronic percussion technologies. Continuing his exploration of electronic and acoustic percussion, in 2026 he released the audiovisual composition/improvisation cycle "Abstractions for drums, electronics and multimedia". The Dainykla project is partly funded by the Vilnius City Municipality.
