Drama "Little Eyolf" | KJT
The actors of the Klaipėda Youth Theatre are on stage for their 14th season – this experience allows them to take on complex, psychologically intense roles. This time, the audience will see the classic drama "Little Eyolf" by Henrik Ibsen. It tells the story of the Almers family, shaken by an unexpected tragedy. Alfred and Rita Almers are raising their son Eyolf – a boy with a disability, whom the father is determined to make the center of his life, having given up his writing career. However, misfortune changes their plans and shatters their fragile world. This is a play about pain, guilt, the desire for revenge, and the hope that rebirth is possible by freeing oneself from complex emotions. It is a drama about the fragility of love, responsibility, and the search for meaning after a painful loss. Everyone living in relationships or raising children will recognize questions close to their hearts: how long can we lie to ourselves that we can't change anything, and who is truly responsible for the failures in our lives? The Klaipėda Youth Theatre's production invites the audience into a safe yet emotionally intense space where they can look at their own lives from an outside perspective.
