Educational Programmes at the National Protected Areas Visitor Centre Choose an educational programme: “Protected Birds of Lithuania” (recommended for pupils in grades 5–9) During the session, participants will explore the exposition of the National Visitor Centre and learn about protected bird habitats, ornithological reserves, rare bird species, and their calls. In the practical activity, participants use various tools to replicate the shapes of birds’ beaks to identify what different birds eat. · Christmas educational programme “Everything You Never Knew About the Nine-Antlered Reindeer!” (recommended for families; runs until the end of January) During the session, participants will discover what pulls Santa’s sleigh, how to identify reindeer, which deer species are found in Lithuania, and learn about the symbolism of the nine-antlered reindeer. A practical activity will also take place during which participants make a souvenir to take home. Ticket price – €50 per group of 10 people. Each additional person – €5.
