Family Tour: "Kaukas and Other Mythical Creatures"

This tour is an opportunity for families with children who haven't outgrown the age of fairy tales to explore the ethnographic storage-exhibition of the Lithuanian National Museum. The little ones certainly won't be bored, as we'll be talking about... mythical creatures hiding behind ancient artifacts. And there are many of them – Kaukas, Aitvaras, Laumė, and Velnias... Each with their own interests, tasks, and schemes. Each with their own intentions towards humans. We will explore how these mythical creatures found in Lithuanian folklore look, what their purpose is, and how to behave when encountering them. Finally, we will try to understand what human life problems they help solve. It will be both incredibly interesting and a little spooky...
