Let's get to know one of Vilnius' most contrasting districts – Šnipiškės. This is a journey through time from its early suburban history to the 21st-century New City Centre. Walking short distances, we'll discover why Šnipiškės is called one of Vilnius' oldest historical suburbs, explore the changing past of the Green Bridge, Kalvarijų Street, small and little-known cemeteries, the eye-pleasing Piromontas colony, and, of course, the astonishing wooden part of Šnipiškės, whose greatest treasures are still visible but rapidly disappearing. You won't run out of interesting things to see here.
