While it is not known for certain whether any of his works were ever part of historical Lithuanian art collections, the creations of his followers—distinguished by their dramatic play of light and vivid realism—have undoubtedly adorned Lithuanian estates, churches, museums, and private collections for centuries. The permanent exhibitions of the Valdovų rūmai Museum also feature several works by Caravaggio's followers, testifying to the enduring impact and vitality of his artistic tradition. Even the artist's rivals could not resist the uniqueness of his style. Thus, the display of Caravaggio's "Mary Magdalene in Ecstasy" at Valdovų rūmai is set within a rich context, showing the genius creator's influence on the development of European art and introducing the work of the Caravaggisti.
