Family Day! "Where Does the Book Dragon Live?" with an educator from the LNM Kazys Varnelis House-Museum

On September 5, at 12 PM, an educational workshop for families will take place at the Vilnius County Adomas Mickevičius Public Library's space „Po skliautu“ with an educator from the Kazys Varnelis House-Museum, a branch of the Lithuanian National Museum. During the workshop, we will open the doors to the world of books! On this journey, we will be accompanied by Ugnius, the curious dragon, hero of Indrė Urbelytė's book „Knygų slibinas. A Fantastic Story about the Beauty of a Book“. Together with him, we will learn how the first books came into being, what they were made of, and why books have remained incredibly important to this day. After meeting Ugnius the dragon, we will create homes for our own book dragons. The event is intended for children aged 4–10 and their family members. We await registration from those wishing to participate in the Family Day via email at vaikai@amb.lt. The educational workshop is an accompanying event to the exhibition „Knygų slibinas. A Fantastic Story about the Beauty of Books“. The exhibition is open at the LNM Kazys Varnelis House-Museum (Didžioji g. 26, Vilnius) until September 27.
