Family Tour "The Kaukas and Other Mythical Beings"

This tour is an opportunity to visit the Lithuanian National Museum's ethnography storage-exhibition with families with children who haven't yet outgrown the age of fairy tales. It certainly won't be boring for the little ones, because we'll be talking about... the mythical beings hiding behind ancient objects. And there are many of them – the kaukas (house spirit), the aitvaras (dragon-like spirit), the laumė (fairy), the devil... Each with its own interests, tasks and intentions. Each with its own designs on people. We'll find out what the mythical beings found in Lithuanian folklore look like, what their purpose is, and how to behave if you encounter one. Finally, we'll try to understand what human-life problems they help us work through. It will be both endlessly interesting and just a little bit creepy... Who is it for?
