It’s a Pity We Didn’t Kiss

Vygantas Kazlauskas invites you to a special live music evening featuring songs by Joe Dassin, evoking the streets of Paris, summer evenings and that sweet longing we feel when remembering what might have happened.

At Vilnius’s St Catherine’s Church, Vygantas will perform Joe Dassin’s songs, accompanied by a string orchestra, Tadas Motiečius on accordion, Tomas Varnagiris and Tomas Maslauskas on guitar, and the vocal ensemble “Jazz Island” of the A. Novikas Jazz School.

This is an evening you want to come to not only to listen to music. Come to remember. To smile. Perhaps to return in your thoughts to one summer evening, one encounter or one person whose story was never quite told to the end.

You’ll hear songs we know by heart, though we never learned them. Songs about love, chance, longing, and what we said, what we did not say, and what we never did.
