On October 18, the feast of St. Luke, our museum turns seventeen! So on October 17, we invite you to celebrate with us. At 16.30, Laura Petrauskaitė, curator of the exhibition ‘Slėpti savyje’, will tell the detective-like story of the Vilnius Cathedral Treasury, full of concealments and discoveries, and about the latest discoveries at the Cathedral (2024). Immediately afterwards, the museum’s friend, the Vilnius Sacred Music Choir ‘Adoramus’, will perform a special celebratory programme. Beside the funerary crown and jewellery of Barbora Radvilaitė displayed in the exhibition, ‘Giesmė apie Žygimanto Augusto jungtuves’ will sound especially resonant.
Concert programme: ‘Džiaukis, žmogau’, ‘Gedulinga giesmė’, Martynas Mažvydas’s ‘Gyvenimą tas turės’, ‘Giesmė apie Žygimanto Augusto jungtuves’, Antanas Strazdas’s ‘Pulkim ant kelių’, Vaclovas Augustinas’s ‘Anoj pusėj Dunojėlio’, Juozas Naujalis and Irmantas Jonas Šimkus: ‘Lietuva brangi’ and ‘Už Raseinių, ant Dubysos’.
