Graduation Show 2026 | Jonė Dūdaitė, Rokas Bilinskas | prokr-u-stinacijos

Until June 12, the exhibition "prokr-u-stinacijos" by Jonė Dūdaitė and Rokas Bilinskas will be open at the VDA gallery "Artifex" (Gaono St. 1, Vilnius). The exhibition is part of the VDA Final Projects "Graduation Show 2026" exhibition. The brutal metaphor of Procrustes' myth of standardization, where a traveler is forcibly "fitted" to the dimensions of a bed, suggests an absurd desire to imprison creative energy within frames. Procrastination, as passivity, constant delay, and avoidance of "framing," is contrasted with this coercion. These two states become starting points for contemplating the boundaries of contemporary art. In the exhibition, two artists seek answers to canonical questions posed by the art field: what is an artwork? where are the boundaries of art? is a physical body essential for an artwork? what makes an artwork impactful? can citation become a new work? does the act of correcting another work become an artistic gesture?
