Group Exhibition | Entangled Bodies
On Friday, 26 June at 18:00, the LDS Gallery "Arka" invites you to the opening of the group exhibition "Entangled Bodies". During the event, a presentation and guided tour of three newly opened exhibitions at the gallery will take place. The exhibition explores ecological sensitivity as the interplay between the human body, memory, imagination and environment. Here, the human being is understood not as an observer or controller of nature, but as an ever-changing part of an ecological system whose boundaries are intertwined with other forms of life and matter. The artists' works reveal the interconnections through which the body, environment and cultural memory constantly act upon one another, shaping new ways of understanding ourselves and the world. The exhibition brings together ecological, mythological and speculative future perspectives. Folk motifs, intimations of ritual and visions of hybrid life serve as tools for rethinking the human relationship with nature in an age of technological change. Here, ecology is understood not only as an environmental theme, but as everyday experience encompassing fragility, transformation and mutual dependence. The works raise questions about how our understanding of life is changing, what new forms of connection with our environment may take, and what future ecologies become possible in a world where it is increasingly difficult to distinguish the natural from the artificial. Participating artists: Laima Kulbytė, Laima Stasiulionytė, Indrė Mikašauskaitė, Karolina Ūla Valentaitė and Aušra Kaziliūnaitė Curator: Karolina Ūla Valentaitė The exhibition is part of the creative programme of Gallery "Arka" and the Lithuanian Artists' Association.
