Guided Tour of the Exhibition “Superglue, or How to Make a Friend”

The Contemporary Art Centre (CAC) invites you to visit the exhibition "Superglue, or How to Make a Friend". This international group exhibition opens the exhibition programme of the centre's new director, Valentinas Klimašauskas, and invites a fresh look at the CAC's relationship with its audience. It explores themes of identity-building, connection with the other, and the role of contemporary art amid the world's deepening polarisation and fragmentation. Drawing on both historical and contemporary works, the exhibition asks: what kind of "glue" could bind together a divided society today? Is it still possible to build a relationship with the other? Is this one of the functions of contemporary art? And ultimately: how, despite everything, can we become friends? Guided overview tours with CAC guides are a great way to get a concise introduction to the exhibition's different but thematically overlapping ideas. It's a kind of exercise for the eye and the mind, encouraging you not only to observe but also to engage – to build a connection with the works, their choreography, and the stories they tell.
