Interactive Tour: Old Technologies That Changed the World
The House of Histories will soon invite you to an exhibition about modern high technologies. While the exhibition is being prepared, we invite you to descend into the ethnographic storage on the basement floor of the House of Histories and talk about ancient technologies that fundamentally changed human life in their time. Some of them were used for hundreds or even thousands of years, so among the ethnographic 19th-20th century exhibits, we will look for tools and devices whose analogues can also be found in archaeological material – from the Middle Ages, the Iron Age, or even the Neolithic period. At the end of the tour, you will be able to try out how a spindle, used in Lithuania from Neolithic times until the early 20th century, works. Who is it for? Everyone interested in the history of technology Price: Adults 8 EUR, students, schoolchildren, seniors 5.50 EUR Duration: 1 hour Tickets can be purchased here.
