Solo performance by J. Bogdanovič "JOSEPH, MARINA AND ANNA"
The solo performance "Joseph, Marina and Anna" by Jelena Bogdanovič, an actress of the Vilnius Old Theatre, reveals the stories of the great 20th-century Russian poets, which also unfolded in Vilnius. According to the creator of the play, in Vilnius: "it's like in a fairy tale: turn right and you'll find yourself in Tsvetaeva's attic, turn left and Akhmatova is on her knees, go straight and you'll run into Brodsky himself. And alongside them are those unknown people who were there at the right moment to offer a shoulder to lean on, who helped with a word or a deed: a forgotten teacher, a humble priest, or a simple family who found and preserved the poet's letters for us... All of us – poets and ordinary people, the living and the dead – are united by a spiritual thirst. This is what my upcoming performance is about. And, of course, it will feature the poetry of my three beloved poets: Joseph Brodsky, Marina Tsvetaeva, and Anna Akhmatova."
