Jamie Woon

British electronic soul artist Jamie Woon will present his new album "3, 10, Why, When" in the capital this autumn. After a long creative hiatus, Jamie Woon returns with full force and will perform with his band at Kablys on September 10th. This is one of the most significant creative comebacks in the music industry in recent years. He is considered a pioneer of London soul and one of the most interesting artists of his generation. "I've released a new album with a strange title. It's my most vulnerable release to date. Time for a concert tour! I've really missed it," Jamie Woon announces. Jamie Woon's music is warm, subtle, easily captivating, and pleasantly memorable. However, behind his modest image lies an ambitious creator for whom creativity has always been an all-or-nothing endeavor. This explains both his early critical acclaim and his long disappearance from the public eye. Jamie Woon's first album, "Mirrorwriting," received significant critical attention and praise. His second album, "Making Time," was nominated for the Mercury Prize. Jamie Woon found himself among the brightest British musicians of his generation. And then – he vanished from the public eye. "For many years I was stuck. I was constantly tormented by the question: 'What is worth saying?' I don't even know how this thought settled in me, but it caused a lot of anxiety, and later – shame. However, at some point, with love and support, to my own surprise, new creations simply emerged. Now I have a lot of very personal songs about vulnerability," Jamie Woon reveals on his Substack, truly having much to share after all this time. "3, 10, Why, When" features elements of R&B, electronic, and popular music. Sharp percussion merges with rich string arrangements. The release is fragile, sensitive, and open. Jamie Woon's vocal abilities are something else. You can only imagine how this album and his music catalog sound live today. After a long period of self-discovery, it seems Jamie simply couldn't stop creating. The stage is in his DNA. All who have waited so long are welcome.
