"Jazz In Case" and the "Muzikos stotis" club invite you to an open concert to celebrate the start of the academic year. The quartet, joined this time by the talented vocalist Austėja Kazlauskaitė, promises a lively music evening pulsating with an authentic jazz spirit, where tradition and youthful energy will intertwine. The club's new season officially opens on September 18th, but after an agreement with "Jazz In Case" initiator and leader Justas Selenis, we decided to offer Vilnius residents and city guests a beautiful evening of music to mark the beginning of the academic year, serving as a warm-up before the "Vilniaus dienos" festival. The concert program will feature works by renowned jazz composers Bill Evans, Bobby Timmons, George Gershwin, and Duke Ellington. Alongside traditional swing, listeners will hear sensitive ballads and compositions infused with Latin rhythms. Austėja Kazlauskaitė, currently studying vocals at Klaipėda Stasys Šimkus Conservatory, has already performed with the conservatory's big band, the Lithuanian Naval Forces Wind Orchestra, and participated in television music projects. The "Jazz In Case" concert held at the end of the club's spring season garnered significant public attention and excellent reviews. This evening, the quartet will appear in a slightly different lineup than usual. They will be joined by saxophonist Davit Avetisyan, founder and leader of the jazz collective "21st Century Quintet" and participant in various musical projects, as well as double bassist Aistis Kondratas, an alumnus of the Prince Claus Conservatoire.
