The "Jazz'n'Vilnius" event series presents: JAZZ SABBATH (UK) This jazz trio from the UK performs new arrangements of "Black Sabbath" songs. Led by pianist Adam Wakeman (who played with "Black Sabbath" and Ozzy Osbourne from 2004-2025), "Jazz Sabbath" explores the boundaries between jazz and the songs that defined the entire heavy metal genre, revisiting existing riffs and discovering new ones. With three albums charting high on the "Billboard" jazz lists, sold-out concerts worldwide, and enthusiastic reviews in both jazz and rock media, "Jazz Sabbath" is rapidly making its way to the top of the jazz scene. Or perhaps, according to a fictional story, they are returning here after several decades? This year, "Jazz Sabbath" pianist and bandleader Adam Wakeman, along with singer Yungblud, "Extreme" guitarist Nuno Bettencourt, "Anthrax" bassist Frank Bello, and masked "Sleep Token" drummer II, won a 2026 "Grammy" Award for Best Rock Performance for their rendition of "Changes" at the famous "Back to the Beginning" concert in Birmingham in July 2025. Adam played keyboards and guitar in both Ozzy Osbourne's solo band and "Black Sabbath" since 2004, and performed with both bands at Ozzy's final concert, meaning his tenure with these godfathers of heavy music lasted a remarkable 21 years. In September 2025, A. Wakeman also appeared at the Ozzy Osbourne tribute ceremony at the MTV Music Awards alongside Yungblud, Nuno Bettencourt, and "Aerosmith" members Steven Tyler and Joe Perry. Since 2020, "Jazz Sabbath" has released 3 studio albums, all of which have charted high on "Billboard"'s jazz album lists.
