"Kabaretas tarp girnų" embarks on a tour across Lithuania: Vytautas Kernagis's songs are reborn in a new musical show featuring Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis. Later this year, a new musical project, "Kabaretas tarp girnų," will arrive in Lithuanian cities, bringing together music, theatre, humor, and the legendary works of Vytautas Kernagis. Actors and singers Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis, along with a group of professional musicians, invite audiences to a concert-performance lasting over an hour and a half, where familiar songs will resonate with a fresh sound. Following a successful premiere at Palanga Concert Hall, the agency "Pepper Live," which presents the musical show, announces a grand festive tour across Lithuania. From early December to late January, "Kabaretas tarp girnų" will visit fifteen cities nationwide, inviting the public to remember the legacy of one of Lithuania's most prominent creators of sung poetry. The program is built around the legendary songs from the cabaret "Tarp girnų," which have already become a part of Lithuanian music history. Audiences will hear works such as "Mūsų dienos kaip šventės," "Kolorado vabalai," "Kansaras Nr. 2," "Žemutinių pilių šventės," "Santechnikas iš Ukmergės," "Lietuvaitė," "Armonika," "Koja spaudžia gazą," "Šimtas pavasarių," "Kaip gražu miške," and many others. The concert will also feature Vytautas Kernagis's previously unreleased song, "Paskutinė Pompėjos diena." The creators emphasize that this is not merely a traditional concert. Scenography, costumes, and lighting solutions specially designed for this project create a distinctive cabaret atmosphere, intertwining retro aesthetics with contemporary stage storytelling. The show abounds with humor, improvisation, audience interaction, and unexpected theatrical moments, allowing viewers to become not just observers, but active participants in the evening. Lina Rastokaitė and Jokūbas Bareikis engage in a lively dialogue with the audience on stage, while a group of professional musicians adds new colors to well-known melodies. Music, words, and theatrical elements combine to create a unique experience.
