Kęstutis Vaiginis Trio
An international trio from Lithuania, Finland, and Poland will perform Kęstutis Vaiginis' original compositions! Renowned jazz musicians – Kęstutis Vaiginis (Lithuania, saxophone), Joonas Haavisto (Finland, piano), and Michał Barański (Poland, double bass) – will perform Kęstutis Vaiginis' original compositions at Muzikos magijos klubas. The artists from different countries promise to captivate the audience with enchanting musical compositions, a distinctive playing style, virtuosity, and radiant vitality. Kęstutis Vaiginis is one of the most prolific jazz performers in Lithuania. An ambitious saxophonist who plays with top-tier US jazz musicians such as Alex Sipiagin, Jonathan Blake, Dave Kikoski, Boris Kozlov, Donald Edwards, David Berkman, etc., he is the inspirer and leader of numerous international projects. As a bandleader and guest artist with various ensembles, he has appeared at "Nord Sea Jazz", Rotterdam, London, Ottawa, Cape Town, Tokyo, London, Istanbul, Hong Kong, and other prestigious jazz festivals, touring across Europe, Asia, North America, and Africa. In Lithuania, he organizes annual concert tours across the country with guest artists from the United States and prominent European jazz musicians. Kęstutis Vaiginis was awarded the "Europamusicale" prize by the European Cultural Foundation, which is given once a year to one European musician. K. Vaiginis became the first laureate of the European Cultural Foundation's "Europamusicale" music prize (2013). Michał Barański is a Polish jazz double bassist. Barański is the Grand Prix laureate of the 40th "Jazz nad Odrą" festival, and also won the main prize "Swinging Raven" at the 3rd Hot Jazz Spring festival in Częstochowa, and the "Jazz Angel" award at the Bielska Zadymka festival in 2005. Together with the group Triology, he took 4th place in the international jazz group competition "
