Lithuanian Wine and Mead Educational Tasting

In our educational space „Lietuviški skoniai“ (Lithuanian Flavors), we present wines and meads produced exclusively by Lithuanian makers. These are crafted from grapes, various berries and fruits, or even dandelions and rhubarb. Alongside the wines, we also introduce traditional Lithuanian mead, made from natural honey and a variety of Lithuanian berries and herbs. We place great emphasis on authentic Lithuanian products sourced from small family farms. During the educational sessions, guests are introduced to the history of Lithuanian wine and mead, their production techniques, and the stories of the people who craft these beverages. Tastings take place in authentic 16th-century cellars, located in the courtyard of the Lutheran church in Vilnius Old Town. This provides the experience with a strong historical and cultural context. During the educational sessions, we offer a symbolic selection of 2-3 types of cheeses and crispbread (crackers), produced on Lithuanian farms, designed to cleanse the palate between different wine styles. I conduct the tastings myself or together with my husband. We are winemakers and members of the Lithuanian National Winemakers Association, which allows us to professionally present both the wines and their production process.
