LNDT | THE WORLD OF THE FOREST ROBBERS. An Experiential Tour for Families
THE WORLD OF THE FOREST ROBBERS An experiential tour for families Can a forest hide inside a theatre? Where does it begin, and what is needed for a completely different world to be born out of sounds, materials, objects and imagination? „The World of the Forest Robbers“ invites families to venture where audiences don't normally get to go – backstage at the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. But this won't be an ordinary tour. Simply looking around and observing won't be enough here: to discover the forest and meet its inhabitants, you'll need to listen, search, create and act together. This educational experience was inspired by the new children's play „Ronja, the Robber's Daughter“. At the start of the journey, there is no forest yet. First, its sounds are heard. Later, small hints will begin to appear throughout the theatre's spaces – traces, strange materials, colours and objects that could turn into something else entirely. Once the doors invisible to audiences are opened, it will become clear how costumes are made, what stage props are born from, and how many unexpected transformations the theatre's backstage conceals. Children will become creators themselves and will be able to make their own robber attribute – in this case a punk mohawk, similar to the one seen in the play „Ronja, the Robber's Daughter“, though continuing the journey will require more than just imagination. Along the way a challenge awaits that cannot be overcome alone – it will require working together with the team. Where the forest's traces will lead, we won't reveal in advance. The most important discovery of the journey awaits at the end: the strongest things in the forest are not always the ones you can see. Attention! Photography and filming will take place during the event. Photos and videos taken during the event may be used for the Theatre's activities and event promotion purposes – published on the Theatre's website, social media accounts and other Theatre communication channels. If you do not wish for you or your child to be photographed / filmed, or for their image to be made public, please inform the event organisers before or during the event.
