LNSO, Duo Andersson and Modestas Pitrenas. World Premiere by Digimas, Masterworks by Martinu and Bruckner
Performers: LITHUANIAN NATIONAL SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA (Artistic Director and Chief Conductor Modestas Pitrenas) DUO ANDERSSON: JULIJA ANDERSSON (violin), PAULIUS ANDERSSON (piano) Conductor: MODESTAS PITRENAS Programme: DOMINYKAS DIGIMAS - "After Solarisation" for violin, piano and orchestra (world premiere) BOHUSLAV MARTINU - Concerto for violin, piano and orchestra, H. 342 ANTON BRUCKNER - Symphony No. 3 in D minor, Op. 94 ("Wagner Symphony") Duo Andersson -- violinist Julija Andersson and pianist Paulius Andersson (performing together since 2021) -- join the LNSO and conductor Modestas Pitrenas. They are first-prize winners at the International Chamber Music Competition Pinerolo (2025, Italy). Julija has performed at Carnegie Hall, Tonhalle Zurich and Gewandhaus Leipzig. Paulius, from a distinguished dynasty of pianists, is a laureate of over 20 international competitions. The Martinu Double Concerto (1953) is believed to be heard in Lithuania for the first time. World premiere: "After Solarisation" by Dominykas Digimas, co-founder of the contemporary music ensemble Synaesthesis. Bruckner's Symphony No. 3 in D minor, dedicated to Richard Wagner, is his most heavily revised symphony (at least six versions). Concert partner: Ciurlionis Music Festival (VSI "Klasika LT")
