MY VILNIUS MINE || A performance for the whole family

Two curious children – Aistė and Simas – meet the chronicler of Vilnius in an abandoned house. He invites them on a journey through various periods of the city's history: from Gediminas' dream to the present day. Traveling with them through labyrinths of secrets and wonders, you will experience not only countless adventures but also the majestic spirit of old Vilnius, the pain of its tragedies, and the excitement of the birth of the new Vilnius. With this performance, a team of well-known Lithuanian artists makes its debut on the stage of the "Lėlė" Theatre: actor and director Paulius Tamolė, writer Justinas Žilinskas, actor and choreographer Eugenijus Slavinskas, violinist and composer Tadas Dešukas, and lighting designer Julius Kuršis. According to the director of the play, P. Tamolė: “I wanted a legend to come to life in the theatre, something we could play with, but instead, we ended up with the entire history of Vilnius... I think it is important for children to see why their city (and, at the same time, they themselves!) is the way it is. With this performance, we certainly do not aim to reveal all the historical details and subtleties; rather, it is an attempt to get children interested in their city's past.”
