Meeting with artist Egle Ridikaitė

On June 6 and 20 at 12 PM, the Museum of Church Heritage invites you to meet the creator of the exhibition "Nuėmimai" and the author of the works displayed therein – painter Egle Ridikaitė. The artist will talk about her long-standing creative process, sources of inspiration, and reveal why fragments of the destroyed Great Synagogue's floor became the basis for monumental canvases, and how the idea was born to "transfer" the traces of the lost sanctuary into the historical space of the Church of St. George the Martyr. This is a unique opportunity to get acquainted with the exhibition through the author's narrative and experience the dialogue between contemporary and Baroque art in a historical space usually inaccessible to visitors – the Church of St. George the Martyr, hidden in the city center. Participation is free upon purchasing an exhibition ticket, but due to the limited number of participants, ADVANCE REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED by phone +370 5 269 7803 or email edukacija@bpmuziejus.lt . ATTENTION! Tickets for the exhibition can be purchased online through the "Paysera Tickets" system. At the exhibition venue (Church of St. George the Martyr, entrance from K. Sirvydo St. 4), tickets can only be purchased by card. Cash tickets can only be purchased at the museum's ticket offices: Vilnius Cathedral Bell Tower or the Treasury (St. Michael St. 9). The museum's activities are financed by the Archdiocese of Vilnius, the Lithuanian Council for Culture, and Vilnius City Municipality.
