Love That Never Lets Go The Tbilisi Theatre Centre presents: Love That Never Lets Go December 1, 7:00 PM Performance in Russian A two-act comedy Based on the play by Noël Coward Director: Avtandil Varsimashvili Translation: Mikhail Mishin Characters and Performers: - Ruth – Irina Megvinetukhutsesi - Charles Condomine – Mikhail Arjevanidze - Madam Arcati – Sofia Lomdžaria - Elvira – Natalia Voroniuk - Dr. Bradman – Oleg Mchedlishvili - Mrs. Bradman – Anna Nikolava - Edith – Nino Gachchiladze Premiere: January 30, 2026 Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes with an intermission Age restriction: 14+ This performance is based on Noël Coward's legendary work "Blithe Spirit" – a playful and elegant comedy where everyday life unexpectedly merges with supernatural occurrences. "Blithe Spirit" is one of Coward's most famous and successful plays. The first production, which opened in 1941, ran for an astonishing 1997 performances, setting a national record that was later surpassed only by Agatha Christie's "The Mousetrap." Why is it so captivating? Perhaps because saying goodbye to love is the hardest thing, and the shadows of our passions follow us throughout life? Or perhaps because it's almost impossible to come to an agreement with ex-wives – whether they are corporeal or ghosts? In this production, the light atmosphere of a drawing-room comedy masterfully intertwines with elements of mysticism, creating a vibrant, witty, and engaging theatrical evening. Plot: Successful writer Charles Condomine hosts a séance at home – he wants to observe a medium's work up close and use it for his new novel. However, the medium, Madam Arcati, accidentally summons the spirit of his first, deceased wife, Elvira. She immediately becomes embroiled in a duel with her former husband and his current wife.
