RIDDLE(S) || Puppet and object performance for children

Seeking the present within the oldest traditions, this performance invites you to experience a mysterious world of riddles. It weaves together Lithuanian folklore, mythology, and motifs, playfully presented through the language of metaphors and imagery. Together with two actors, young viewers will be able to guess, make mistakes, and discover answers to questions that speak of Lithuanian folk wisdom and the paradoxes of everyday life. Director and designer Aušra Bagočiūnaitė Paukštienė, representing "Dailininko teatras", creates this interactive visual performance through the prism of nature, the beauty of the world, play, paradox, and the magic of the everyday. According to her: "These images are often fantastical, involving unexpected juxtapositions of phenomena and objects. The riddles posed by the actors reveal the encoded worldview and wisdom of our ancestors. After all, in ancient times, the ritual solving of riddles or proverbs was not just a game, a form of competition, or a demonstration of wisdom and agility, but could even be a matter of life and death."
