On August 8, 2026 , global electronic music icon Moby will hold a concert in Vilnius. After more than a decade, Moby is embarking on a concert tour and will perform at Kalnų Park, where he will open this summer's "Sounds Good Vilnius" music festival in the capital. Moby, whose real name is Richard Melville Hall, rose to global fame in 1999 with the release of his album "Play." Combining electronic, blues, and downtempo music, Moby created classic musical gems such as "Honey," "Porcelain," "Flower," "Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad?", "Natural Blues," and "Bodyrock." The album "Play," highly acclaimed by both music critics and listeners, also made it onto Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time. Moby is not only a versatile musician, singer, composer, and producer. He is also a director, writer, photographer, active blogger, and a fervent animal and human rights activist. Born in New York in 1965, he began studying music theory and playing classical music on piano and guitar at the age of 9. In the 1980s, he became interested in punk rock, played in various bands, and later turned towards DJing and rave music. Moby gained his first recognition in 1991 with the release of the single "Go." Since then, Moby has released 22 studio albums, with a combined circulation of over 20 million. Musically, all of Moby's albums are quite diverse – from electronic, techno, and ambient music to rock and even punk rock. Typically, Moby records all or most of the album material himself.
