The new interactive museum in the centre of Vilnius , between the Old Town and Antakalnis, invites you to a unique living butterfly exhibition , where beauty, education and the senses merge in one space. In spring 2026 – from 1 March until Midsummer – open the doors to a tropical world inhabited by exotic butterflies. A family experience that will delight both young and old! What will you find at the “Museum of Living Butterflies: Rooms”? This informal learning space is more than an exhibition. It is a living museum , divided into six different rooms (over 120 sq. m), featuring: Tropical butterfly spaces – walk among freely living butterflies Photo corners – for perfect pictures with colourful wings Explorer’s corner – microscopes, magnifying glasses and discoveries for the curious Educational videos – about the life and cycle of butterflies Creative corner for children – where curiosity becomes creativity Butterfly souvenirs – small gifts from nature to take home This year’s novelty – VIP room Want an even closer encounter with butterflies? In the VIP room you will learn how to touch them safely , have the chance to take exclusive photos , and everything takes place in a calm, therapeutic environment to the sound of handpan and singing bowls. (VIP ticket required. Time in the VIP room is limited to 15 min. per visitor. In other parts of the exhibition, time is unlimited.) What will you learn at the Museum of Living Butterflies? Our interactive exhibition will introduce you to nature through experience and living connection. You will discover: How butterflies are truly born – from egg to colourful (or camouflaged) butterflies How tropical butterflies differ from Lithuanian species How many butterflies live in the world and in Lithuania (and why some are true rarities) Why some butterflies are protected and listed in the Red Book What myths, symbols and legends about butterflies exist in different cultures around the world A great opportunity to broaden your horizons – through nature, through the senses, through storytelling . Everything is presented simply, engagingly and accessibly – for both children and adults. Where does the exhibition take place? Museum of Living Butterflies: Rooms is located in the centre of Vilnius , at Kosciuškos g. 24 – an easily accessible location between the Old Town and Antakalnis , just a few steps from the Neris River . A great choice if you are planning a family walk in Vilnius , a quiet weekend with loved ones, or even a short visit after work . Nearby – the Japanese Garden , Kalnų parkas and the Old Town streets , so a visit to the museum can easily be combined with a walk in nature or a cultural route. How to get here conveniently?
