The two-time Grammy winner returns to Vilnius with her latest album, ‘The Devil I Knew’
On March 21, 2027, Nicole Zuraitis Quartet will perform once again at the LVSO Concert Hall. Following a debut that filled the hall in Vilnius in spring 2026, the US jazz vocalist, pianist and composer with Lithuanian roots returns to present her latest album, ‘The Devil I Knew’.
Released in July 2026, ‘The Devil I Knew’ marks a new chapter in Nicole’s creative work. Created with producer Larry Klein, the twenty-track, five-part concept album tells a story of love, turning points in relationships and the courage to look within. Jazz, poetry and personal stories merge here into a cohesive musical narrative that encompasses both intimate vulnerability and intense emotional tension.
In Vilnius, this music will be performed in a quartet setting. Singing at the piano, Nicole will be joined on stage by drummer Dan Pugach, guitarist Idan Morim and double bassist Sam Weber. In their performances, carefully considered arrangements meet the freedom of improvisation, while the connection between the musicians allows the pieces to reveal themselves anew each time.
Nicole Zuraitis has gained international recognition as a performer with an expressive voice and a songwriter creating a distinctive musical world. Her album ‘How Love Begins’, co-produced with Christian McBride and consisting of original compositions, won the Grammy for Best Jazz Vocal Album in 2024. A second Grammy became part of her creative journey in 2025 for her work on the Dan Pugach Big Band album ‘Bianca Reimagined: Music for Paws and Persistence’.
In 2026, Nicole received two more Grammy nominations: the live album ‘Live at Vic’s Las Vegas’ was nominated in the Best Jazz Vocal Album category, while the track ‘All Stars Lead to You – Live’ was nominated for Best Jazz Performance.
Nicole has performed at ‘Newport Jazz Festival’, ‘Melbourne International Jazz Festival’, ‘Tanglewood’ and renowned New York jazz clubs ‘Birdland’, ‘Blue Note’ and ‘Dizzy’s Club’. Her music combines the jazz tradition with influences from soul, pop and classical music, while her vocal mastery is paired with a warm, direct rapport.
For Lithuanian audiences, Nicole’s visits also have a personal significance. The artist is proud of her Lithuanian roots, and ‘Ant kalno karklai’, performed in Lithuanian during the quartet’s first concert in Vilnius, became one of the evening’s most moving moments.
On March 21, Nicole Zuraitis Quartet invites you to meet again, to hear ‘The Devil I Knew’ live and experience music born of candid storytelling, improvisation and a sense of connection with listeners.
